　実は学生だけではないのである。それを知らされたのは、村上ファンドの裁判だった。新聞などは「弁解に終始し、反省は皆無、村上前代表に実刑判決」などと報じたが、私が引っかかったのはその判決要旨だった。

　「ファンドなのだから、安ければ買うし、高ければ売るのは当たり前と被告は言うが、このような徹底した利益至上主義には慄然とせざるを得ない」と裁判長は言ったらしい。まさに慄然とせざるを得ない発言である。
